p2v - weird !! dns record deleted

hi guys somethin strange happened.

i p2v'ed server testing, server not domain member, in dns.

i changed name of server else, rebooted... changed ip address. , connected network adaptor !!

guess ,  while 1 of guys testing on new server, in between @ point deleted dns record source server. happened file server, no 1 access via dns...

but cant think of logical , y happen? of faced similar situation before?

for dns allowing non-secure dynamic dns?  setting on vm nic mac, dynamic or static?
