DFS Replication service stops every night with Event ID 5014

i'm using backup exec 2010 r2 backup dfs shares nightly. seems working fine, except on branch office server dfs shares being replicated using dfs replication. on remote server, message every night each of dfs shares follows:

log name:      dfs replication
source:        dfsr
date:          1/13/2012 11:45:04 pm
event id:      5014
task category: none
level:         warning
keywords:      classic
user:          n/a
computer:      servername.domainname.local
description:
dfs replication service stopping communication partner <servername> replication group domainname\sharename due error. service retry connection periodically.

additional information:
error: 9033 (the request cancelled shutdown)
connection id: 7cb9d5a9-6312-4b6d-b2ac-92341c319247
replication group id: 6de88312-e202-401d-81f4-511fa6a3a6fd

the error occurs right around time backup begins on dfs shares, i'm pretty sure it's related that. however, expect see message more along these lines (copied internet):

event id=1102
severity=informational
dfs replication service has temporarily stopped replication because
application performing backup or restore operation. replication resume
after backup or restore operation has finished.

event id=1104
severity=informational
dfs replication service restarted replication after backup
or restore operation.

seems me have misconfiguration somewhere. said, files replicating, seems working normally, continual error message every night.

i have backupexec set "automatically select open file technology", maybe need have set explicitly use microsoft volume shadow copy service instead?

hi shaun,

as said, configuration issue of backup exec, think should contact symantec further information.

i found article on backup exec website:

dfs , dfsr: backing distributed file system backup exec

http://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/dfs-and-dfsr-backing-your-distributed-file-system-backup-exec

please note: since web site not hosted microsoft, link may change without notice. microsoft not guarantee accuracy of information.
