Windows Log Off Problems On Wireless Laptops Connected To Domain

we've encountered problem windows takes long time log off if laptop on wireless network.  on wired network, laptop works great (just our desktops).  please note our first attempt @ adding laptops domain (since more users starting request laptops looking easy way manage them , hence looking add them domain use group policy).

following 2 events logged in application event log when laptop logs off on company wireless network:
1. event id 6005, source winlogon: winlogon notification subscriber <gpclient> taking long time handle notification event (endshell).

2. event id 6006, source winlogon: winlogon notification subscriber <gpclient> took 233 seconds handle notification event (endshell).

during testing, found if turn off wireless adapter while logging off, log off occurs smoothly.  also, if keep vpn client connected while log off, log off occurs smoothly.

since problem happened on internal wireless network, contacted security folks , discovered netbios disabled on company wireless network.  work around this, attempted disable netbios on tcp/ip wireless network adapter, did not help.

attempted play around "group policy slow link detection" group policy setting under user configuration area no success.

i've moved both laptop computer account , test user account under new ou blocks inheritance.  so, no domain group policies affecting laptop.

suggestions on getting around problem?  useful have these laptops connected domain can start pushing group policy settings them, want user experience quick , responsive.  and, avoid having have users turn off wireless adapter each time log off while on wireless network because know not remember.

client laptop running windows 7 rtm (this test laptop) connecting in windows 2008 domain.  i'm not sure if matters, running @ windows server 2008 domain functional level , windows server 2003 forest functional level.

thanks!
