Windows Server 2012 Backup - blbmmc.dll - MMC has detected an error in a snap-in and will unload it.

i have bit of odd problem backup console in windows server 2012 may able with.

the server in question windows server 2012 standard being used hyper-v host 2 guests.  windows backup installed , configured backup host , guests.  of backups completing successfully, others completing warnings.  when double clicking on job in windows backup console further details on job, successful backup results display without problems.  when double clicking against backups complete warnings, mmc crashes , following displayed:

blbmmc.dll - mmc has detected error in snap-in , unload it.

after clicking ok, following displayed:

i have tried running sfc /scannow hasn't detected problems.  windows backup has been uninstalled , reinstalled no avail.  suspect may .net framework issue, tried installing .net 3.5 through server manager hasn't helped either.  have ideas may problem resolved?  in advance.

some of backups completing successfully, others completing warnings. 

the warning ones random or related specific guest?

i saw same error once when trying connect windows 2008 server core system windows server 2008 system, not supported behaviour.
