hi kvanderstarren,

thank posting in windows server forum.

based on description, understand want run defrag scheduled task on clients without entering user password.

generally speaking, can use scheduled task extension in group policy preference deploy defrag tasks.

to deploy scheduled task gpp users, can follow below steps:

1.     logon dc domain admin, open group policy management.

2.     create gpo links server’s ou.

3.     edit gpo , navigate [computer configuration| preferences| control panel settings| scheduled tasks]

4.     create scheduled task want run. may need change action create first setup.

5.     define scheduled task settings. click apply , ok.

6.     logon client computer administrator, click start , run “gpupdate /force”

after above configuration, client computer should have scheduled task users.

if dc not windows 2008 server, can configure group policy preference item in windows server 2003 environment either windows server 2008 server or windows vista service pack 1 client rsat update installed. if not have windows server 2008 server, can download , install remote server administration tools on windows vista sp1 on vista client manage , configure them. start deploy printer client, need group policy preference client side extensions.
