DHCP migration from 2003 R2 to 2008 R2 server

i've been following articles http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd379493(ws.10).aspx and http://www.networkworld.com/community/node/56296 but both of them suggest copy old dhcp ip new one. want leave old ip on old server because i'm not going decommission it.

so question - possible migration without old ip address transfer? not want old ip migrated.

hi rimvydas,

thanks posting here.

i think should first remove option 249 gui or command “netsh dhcp server delete optiondef 249” if still exists after migration , need reconfigure option 121 specifying routing entries .
if exported configurations form windows server 2003 dhcp server netsh dump should command option 249 in that  .
