[Win2008R2] Restore Autoritative DC


hello,

( sorry english bad)

have 2 dc 2008r2 replication between them.

such restore ad windows backup

stop replica on replica dc.

i restore master dc. have master dc base -1 , replica dc "corrupt" base. search replicate base -1 on replica dc.

on master dc execute command

authoritative restore

restore subtree « cn=info1,dc=info2 »

command change 33 000 elements success.

reboot. , activ replica commande :

repadmin /options <dc replica name> -disable_outbound_repl

force replica, dc master received comrrupt information replica dc.

have explication ? idee ?

 according me,authoritative restores unusual; can roll ad objects in dc point in time when performed original backup. can use action restore information erroneously deleted replicated data set. example, if inadvertently delete or modify objects stored in ad, can authoritatively restore objects can replicate them again other dcs. if don't authoritatively restore missing objects, they'll never replicated other dcs in same domain because missing or deleted objects you're restoring appear older objects on dc.

so prefer performing nonauthoritative restores,maybe should think os this
