hi before upgrade forest/domain schema windows 2003 windows 2008 r2 pre , post procedures

pre upgrade

just backup forest pdc in case of failure?

post upgrade if restore required

restore pdc pre upgrade backup?

at least one dcs system state should backed up. make sure whatever backup software use. must ad aware solution.

just using backup windows server 2003 install windows server 2008 r2 not work afaik. aware inplace upgrade 32bit 64bit(windows server 2008 r2) not possible.
