no access to the licence server

hello

i have branch office outside country, sometime link broken 2/3 hours

on site have user tse

the licence server on main site , didn't want move it

my question , how many time can tse disconnected licence server

thanks

hi,

which type cals using, per devices cals or per users cals?

by default, when per device licensing mode used, after client logs , authenticates terminal server first time, , after terminal server locates license server, terminal server issues client temporary license. after client logs on , authenticates terminal server second time, if license server activated , @ least 1 per device cal installed on license server , not yet issued, terminal server issues client permanent, per device cal. per user cals not monitored terminal server. means though there per user cal in license server database, per user cal not decremented when used. additionally, if use per user licensing mode, when client logs on terminal server second time, temporary license not upgraded permanent cal.

in other words, many cases, rd licensing server refresh time not law, depends on type of ts user logs on , when there be.

depending on environment, rd licensing server sake of redundancy, if concern time(2/3 hours) license server down, client not denied of connection, can have license server on don't have cals installed , point ts new license server time being. clients keep on getting temp cals till time new license server inside grace period. in time frame, can reconnect link/recover/deactivate/delete/uninstall these erroneous licenses installed on ts licensing server.

hope helps.
