Old Remote desktop connection for Mac works for Admin access but new Microsoft Remote Desktop doesn't

i have 3 mac computers use remote desktop server. old mac has remote desktop connection mac (version 2.1.1) , can access server user , administrator login without issue. have 2 new macs have microsoft remote desktop (because couldn't find remote desktop connection mac in app store) , can log server user id not administrator login. credentials same if log in user or admin except user id , password different. ideas why works with remote desktop connection mac not microsoft remote desktop?

it says password or user name incorrect, know right because can onto with remote desktop connection mac

Azure MFA with Azure AD and RDS
