app start based on protocol

hi,

 i have question terminal services thick clients.

clients have outlook installed on pcs, time time receive links in mails(to different destinations - web, lotus notes, database,...). applications allowed on terminal server , applications anly allowed on client pc. today, there copy/paste allowed on terminals question if possibleto make pc automatically choose terminal or local app based on protocol(i know can associate extensions msi installed remoteapp doesnt solve problem). absolutely clear, need this:

1) client receives link in hit outlook
2) clicks link
3) pc automatically recognizes if should handled locally installed app or app on terminal
4)pc opens appropriate app(and hand on link - ie lets if terminal app, terminal opens, ie opens in terminal , link automatically pasted in address field)

is possible server 2008 r2/server 2012. thank you!

yes, can programming. can make program , associate http protocol (and other file types want) in registry.

inside program, run appropriated remoteapp file (.rdp)
