Virtual Switch - having problems after setting static IP

dell server, windows 2012 server, quad nic teamed , virtual switch configured. team configured on cisco switch plugged into.

with host o/s running , virtual switch set dhcp works ok.

if set static v4 ip address server doesn't communicate network properly. can no longer connect via rdp , can't ping remotely ip.

as set dhcp again working.

any ideas got me baffled!

hello,

it sound strange problem sure. can possibly post static ip giving vm, , dhcp address vm gets?  also, can tell me ip address?  is network set external, internal or private network within hyper-v?  are there vlans involved here?  how cisco switch configured?  is configured trunking?  any details on switch config here useful.

a few basic things check default gateway on vm - set correctly?  can connect vm using hyper-v manager, , checks?:  can ping default gateway?  can ping vm?  can ping host?

if let me know information, might start painting picture of problem might lie.
