Windows 10 Technical Preview - Unable to connect to wireless networks outside of home network

greetings,

i installed windows 10 technical preview on secondary laptop, asus g53s same day released.  i knew after reading disclaimer possible have difficulty connecting networks, proceeded anyway. 

it connected home network, thought maybe have gotten off lucky.

however, when brought work, wasn't connecting wireless network present. whenever attempt connect, states connection taking longer expected, before declaring connection limited, , not giving me wireless access, despite showing had joined network. 

when go network adapters, see wi-fi connection showing it's on 'unidentified network'

i can show wireless network connected if set static ip address that's not being used, still not connect me internet.  the automatic troubleshooting windows 10 doesn't resolve issue, , creating whole new wireless connection doesn't seem either. attempted connect through wireless, wired, hotspot through phone same result. 

while connected network in question, attempt ipconfig /release. result adapter "an error occurred while releasing interface wi-fi. address has not yet been associated network endpoint.

when attempt renew. states "an error occurred while renewing interface wi-fi: attempt made access socket in way forbidden access permissions."

ip config doesn't show gateway, , shows 169 ip address. 

netstat states "unknown can't find netstat: no response server"

and both , nslookup show server unknown. 

i'm not sure steps should try next see if can work around this, have ideas or guidance? 

edit:

turns out wont connect @ home now. plugged in via lan cable, , diagnostic internet connection reporting. "windows sockets registry entries required network connectivity missing."

update 2:

after investigation, looks winsock might how damaged result of windows 10 preview, , though use repair tool winsock earlier version of windows, can't guaranteed work due version difference.

i apologize not updating sooner. able install iso on flash drive, , attempted repair, unable complete, stating had found problems unable fix.

to resolve issue, needed reinstall operating system completely. upon reinstalling began working intended , haven't had issues in following weeks of testing. 

it should noted upgraded windows 10 via windows update, , 'upgrade' feature initially.
