your problem ad domain name , external dns name same, right?

so, ad server default create host (a) record in internal dns zone domain name.  instance, example dc's ip address 192.168.0.1 , domain name company.com.  dc register host (a) record on internal dns server (same box in example) host name company.com ip address of 192.168.0.1.

then of course, inside network, type company.com in web browser , of course, hit dc running iis (not thing, assume running small business server).

if correct in assumptions, have 2 options:
you configure dc not register host (a) record domain name, prevent autocreating gc pointer in dns.  not big deal, because can create gc record manually.

or

you can create iis redirect , point ip address (since cant use hostname because why having issue) of externally hosted website sits.  however, web hosting company have accept ip rather host header.

if go first option, registry edit required.
on dc, open registry editor, navigate hklm\system\currentcontrolset\services\netlogon\parameters
create reg_dword, name=registerdnsarecords, , assign value of 0 (zero).

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc784031(ws.10).aspx

then on dns zone domain, navigate subdomain _msdcs.gc folder.  create static host (a) record ip address of hte gc (the same dc's ip in case).
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;258213

this works great companies have external dns name same internal dns name ad.
