hi alafin,

my answer first question: use windows server 2008 r2 standard 1 ore 2 quadcore cpus, 16 32 gb of ram , raid 10 disksystem 4 harddisks preferable sas disks. why? install , remote desktop server host mrp client application , windows 2008 r2 offers lot of advantages on terminal services in windows 2008 operation system.

my answer second question: recomend windows server 2008 r2 standard because belive need rds , not need server virtualisation. r2 64 bit , memory limit standard sku 32 gb of ram. not install core i stay full gui because of easier maintanance.

hope bit
