ADMT migrated Domain Admin accounts lost admin rights in old (source) domain

hello,

we migrating 2003 forest 2008 forest , when migrating members of domain admin group in source domain using sid history, lose admin rights in source domain. therefor, resource permissioned domain admin group in source domain can no longer managed new(target) domain.

is design or fault in our migration?

yes, i'mm aware cannot migrate builtin groups migrated account sid history ensure account still member of same group in source domain. doesnt seem happen windering why.

in second question have similar issues local copies of roaming profiles migrated user receives error due security not being translated on terminal servers local copies of profile. sid history should mean user continues have same permissions did pre migration not case. again, wondering why.


first question. try login resource in source domain target domain account , execute "whoami /groups". if groups target domain listed verify sidfiltering status in trust.
