Bug - No "Desktop Icon Settings" in Control Panel\Display

but, if type "recycle bin" in control panel search box, shown this:

(i used snipping tool in w7 capture saw. image fine if @ windows explorer preview. using insert image icon on html section of body box of message results in piece of crap above - tried 5 times!).

display

show or hide common icons on desktop.

clicking on show or hide brings missing desktop icon settings dialog box.

hi,

i think not bug, ui change. since checked windows server 2008 r2, has same behavior.

in windows 7 , windows 8 cp, “change desktop icons” or called “show or hide common icons on desktop” control panel item exist under “personalization” item.

but in windows server 2008r2 , windows server 2012 rc, “show or hide common icons on desktop” item exist under “display” control panel item category default. although can’t find in “display” component, can search find.

after install desktop experience, “change desktop icons” or called “show or hide common icons on desktop” control panel item show correctly under “personalization” item.
