Proper Procedure to run Validation on Hyper-V Cluster with CSV

i had issue sometime running validations on server 2008 r2 (rtm) hyper-v cluster emc fibre channel san. while running validations, 1 of csv luns came damaged mbr , data seemingly lost. call microsoft got mbr restored, , fine, down majority of day.

my question simply, fluke experience, or there proper procedure validating hyper-v cluster. running sp1 on nodes, , preparing join node cluster. perform validation tests before proceed.

i can understand concern must have never heard of such scenario. validation test there "validate" configuration not destroy one.  run tests without apprehension.  since using iscsi, stand test cluster , walkthrough same process build confidence around procedure of course call.  there no customizations or change needed in process when running validation wizard.

Invalid pointer on gpresult /h gpreport.html
