What is the correct way to clean up primary & replica servers?

i getting conflicting reports on how should done.

my assumption if clean primary of obsolete & superseded updates when replicas synchronize, update match primary.

a powershell cleanup script found had microsoft response said otherwise. rep said need clean replicas first, primary last.

what right way this?

hi jhbpjf,

apologize mistake, last reply not replica wsus server, it's autonomous downstream wsus server. (sorry, i haven't notice replica last time).

server cleanup wizard per-server operation. upstream , replica downstream deployment. it's recommended run server cleanup wizard on upstream wsus first, on replica servers. since if run scw on replica first, replica sync upstream again.

best regards,

anne
