Why is the Local Group Policy being applied to a system joined to a Domain?


i have windows 7 ent system apart of our domain, when run gpresult /r cmd (as administrator) ,it shows local gpo being applied computer settings, , user settings, says local gpo not applied because (empty).

it understanding if there break in gpos being applied occur affect end result of gpos being applied system. local gpo should disabled on domain joined machines? or normal?

by default gpo's applied according following order:

  1. the local gpo.
  2. gpos linked to sites.
  3. gpos linked to domains.
  4. gpos linked to organizational units.
