Word 2010 missing icon and cannot connect to address book Outlook 2013

i have problem connecting word address book.

in envelope , labels window, when looking mail merge, there no icon address book.  

also, after creating quick launch icon, grayed out.

machine specs
word 2010, outlook 2013 on recent windows7 pc.

hi,

mail merge using word 2010 not work outlook 2013. when installed same version of word , outlook can we see address book button.

i've tried uninstall outlook 2010 in office 2010 environment, address book button not available.

it's recommended download , install configuration analyzer tool (offcat), developed microsoft support teams. once tool installed, can run @ time scan hundreds of known issues in office programs.
