how people using av in hyper-v environment?
what best practice - on parent or in vms? impact on system (hard drives performance)
does using trend micro officescan on parent partition , protect vms(some plugins?).

you have interesting problems hyper-v if using anti-virus on host , not configure exclude files , folders related hyper-v
remember exclude following in anti-virus software:
* vmms.exe
· mms.exe
· vmwp.exe
· vmswp.exe
also exclude root directory contain virtual machines , configuration files, , following file extensions:
· vhd
· avhd
· vsv
· iso
· vfd
· xml
when comes av inside vms, should configure av support applications/services run. each application may have own requirements.
