Rename file server that users have offline files synced to


i have file server (2008r2) has renamed.  i have 20 windows 7 clients use server offline files , synced via microsoft sync center.  what best way go accomplishing this?  i assume if rename server they're going receive errors sync center first need have them turn off sync center , turn on once server renamed or can them via group policy?
