KB971033 not in WSUS?

we getting ready install windows 7 enterprise 64bit workstations in our environment. setting 1 today , noticed kb971033 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971033/en-us ) offered going microsoft updates web site. our wsus server not offer update.

when reading kb looks update purposely not put in wsus space.

hmmmmmm....... thought interesting.

makes perfect sense, not because of licensing model.

wsus corporate tool.

kb971033 applies consumer machines (or small business entities still being updated via au/wu/mu).

windows activation/validation invoked on wu/mu site non-security updates ensure client system licensed. windows validation not applicable when updates deployed wsus server, therefore, update irrelevant wsus clients, , not distributed via wsus.
