Microsoft Remote Desktop: how to disable extended desktop?

i'm using remote desktop (version 8.0.24091) mac.  i'm using external monitor mac extend mac desktop.  when connect remote windows 2012, session uses extended desktop.  i don't want this.  i want session use single single monitor.  the remote server running on aws ec2, don't have access console.

in settings of remote desktop connection, please check if “use monitors” selected.

Invalid pointer on gpresult /h gpreport.html
