The volume you have selected may not be extended


i added new hard disk our windows 2003 r2 server sp2. when try extend it, receive "the volume have selected may not extended". kb841650 has been installed. problem?

the volume have selected may not extended.

you cannot extend windows 2003 os partition when it's running. should either use third party or reboot machine, boot on winpe , extend volume offline.
