hello, i trying implement ou's "protect accidental deletion" on user accounts. problem here still member of domain admins, have right "take ownership". although remove permissions user account, remove inheritance , set permissions , exactly: everyone = deny = delete, delete subtree = allow = read owner = single user account, not me, not domain admins, not administrators the dsa console takes ownership of object, changes permissions , deletes object (probably). auditing info operation just: ds access: failure - delete account management: success - user deleted so know: a) how prevent dsa deleting user accounts when domain admins member. b) ____ happens not see auditing info on object having permissions/owner changed after first ds access delete fails. thank much.   ondrej.   everything solved. sory troubling. ou had delete user objects permission not audited , used delete object instead of permissions on user object itself. ...

we installed our first 2008 box in our domain, , installed ad services. noticed errors in server manager, namely event id 1925 ( the attempt establish replication link following writable directory partition failed.) however, have not recoreded event since yesterday afternoon, , recorded following event id 1104 ( the knowledge consistency checker (kcc) terminated following change notifications) shortly after receiveing last event id 1925. we still showing errors when running repadmin /showrepl command. command results in following error: dsreplicagetinfo failed status 8453. the 2 other dcs reports successful in following inbound neighbors output: dc=xxxxx,dc=yyyyy cn=configuration,dc=xxxxx,dc=yyyyy cn=schema,cn=configuration, dc=xxxxx,dc=yyyyy dc=domaindnszones, dc=xxxxx,dc=yyyyy dc=forestdnszones, dc=xxxxx,dc=yyyyy dsreplicagetinfo() failed status 8453 (0x2105):     replication access denied. dsreplicagetinfo() failed status 8453 (0x2105):     replication access denied. hello...

hi all, we promoted member server dc in existing ad forest. replication failed, there no connection made automatically in ad sites , services, dns did not load zones. after adding connection manually in ad sites , services , replication , dns works fine now.  but surprisingly there appears no replications partners in ad sites , services. new dc list replication partner under ntds settings. the dns has entry of new dc , said replications works fine.  kindly guide. hi, ip configuration fine. did delete manual connection objects , run repadmin /kcc * ? there 2 dcs shows error 58 means usbeldc01.kina.kerryad.com , iekildc02.dairies.kerryad.com not reachable , rest 1 has rpc error. resolve errors (access denied, rpc call failed) in repadmin test, may use below articles:  trouble shoot active directory replication problems as parent-child domain structure, ensure the ad replication ports open on firewall , child domain dns setup...
