all remoteapps launch program , black dos window.  how can disable dos window launching.  i have searched , found no solution.  even using vb script not help.   hi i believe issues other software or virus may trying execute when app launched. this never function of remote app. need find out , how command window launched.   login server directly , try launch same application , find happening , form it’s getting cmd. even can use register , application monitoring tools , find functions called, if feel fixing issues options rather reinstalling server. i saw microsoft blog entry describing new features of rdp 8.0 , how enable new functionality.  (this blog suggested posting forum, although see forum appears server forum ... possible apologies in advance) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2592687 i upgraded win7 ultimate (x64) , win7 enterprise (x64) machine following these instructions. have win7 home premium (x64) machine not have "local group policy editor" , instructions reference policies , not registry entries. i took snapshots of registry on win7 ultimate machine before , after changing policies determine registries keys changed. here keys noted , tried incorporating win7 home premium machine did not work. hi, i've got request rollout >20 certificates (root , intermediate, external cas) windows computers in ad domains. i've got certs files *.cer . solution known me import cert files gpo gets linked domain object itself. inheritance windows servers , clients new certificates. if 1 -3 domains, not alternatives import wizard of gpo editor. works fine, >15 domains pain. we have done years ago in similar way. not policy linked domain itself, instead linked many ous when clients , servers located. , 5 cert files. time want save effort , treat index finger care -> , use domain-wide gpo. the steps clear: create copy of domain policy, import certs, checks, use backup gpo & import backup bring certs on domain level. but question is: possible use tools certutil or powershell or whatever import cert files gpo? thanks ideas! walter > possible use tools certutil or powershell or whatever to > import cert files gpo?   not "out of box". ...

hi.. we use 2 node hyper-v cluster. on each node running 5 vm shared 64gb system memory. the vms configured use dynamic memory. sum of startup (min) memory of 10 vms 50 gb. so our problem: if try drain roles on node maintenance purpose 2 vms still on node because wasted each 25gb memory , on node b not enough free memory host vms. that sounds logical but vms configured use dynamic memory should shrink memory enough space vms? if shutdown vms, move 1 node, works fine. is design live migration not trigger vm shrink memory? best regards, alexander zirbes hi alexander, dynamic memory means memory can increase or decrease based on demand of vm, not based on load of hyper-v host. if gust os of vm dont need memory, memory released. dont think live migration has role shrinking allocated memory of vm. since using 2 node cluster, should load 50% resourses on each host incase of failure of second node, first node can have vms. this calculation become more effecti...
