i working application vendor. application needs import list of active directory users. application needs ad group part of search. i told vendor use built in group “domain users” i expected user list around 40,000 if application excluded disabled user accounts. the application returned 46 users… if open group in aduc can see thousands of users in members tab. if open attribute editor tab , go “member” attribute can see 46 users. powershell confirms discrepancy. if run command list membership attribute via get-adgroup receive 46 users. if use get-adgroupmembers powershell return 40k users. is there way fix attribute on group? when new users added "domain users" default group added to. how can fix permanently new users? > told vendor use built in group “domain users”   domain users not group has "members". primary group thing more special know. membership in primary groups calculated primary group id of accounts. not se...
