i trying reconnect win 7 pro computer new  essentials 2012r2 , when asks me set me or multiple users message pops saying has stopped responding. sets profile of _clientsetup_$ , shows in dashboard offline device. computer hooked essentials 2012r2 previously. tried uninstalling connector software, removing computer domain, renaming computer and re-installing the connector software http://(server)/connect. tried backing existing profiles , creating new clean 1 , went through above procedure same results. set 4 others no issues , bosses computer fails. newbie appreciated, thanks . i'd suggest check log under %programdata%\microsoft\windows server\logs\clientdeploy.log see if finding there. or might want zip entire folder , give share somewhere. i have scenario have run ebs 2008 migration script dismantle ebs separate roles.  have created 2 new server 2008 r2 domain controllers , have been in environment @ least 1 month , running fine (dc diag comes clean).  ready introduce server 2012 member servers environment replace ebs servers (migrate exchange exchange 2013, etc.) , receiving error when go join server domain. when type in domain name , click apply, prompted enter credentials usual.  enter in credentials (domain admin, ent. admin , schema admin associated account)  receive error message shortly after entering credentials stating "the following error occurred attempting join domain "<domain name>": user not allowed log on workstation" i have used both fqdn , netbios name domain , receive same message.  logged in local administrator account on server , have disabled uac not help.  have checked c:\windows\debug\netsetup.log , edit post once can copy log (slow internet keeping me posting @

hi, i have configured wsus server , set client-side targeting . created computer group x on wsus. i created group policy , link ou in ad. put pc inside ou. group policy sets wsus server , enables client-side targeting to specific group x. checked resultant set of policy on pc , it's correctly set. the problem don't see computer inside group x on wsus. see pc in unassigned computers, not in group x. what problem ? thank you.. i think found solution. replica server not download computer options upstream server. i had set "use group policy or registry settings on computers" on upstream server and thought replica server downloaded this. thanks to for answering. hi, i have following issue win 2003 r2 entreprise sp2 server 2gb ram. it configured "gateway" between 2 infrastructures: java-based environment, , as400 db2 database. using "windev" code, gets http (soap) queries, transforms them in db2 sql queries, gets sql result , returns java client. it application running on server.  (don't ask me why such architecture). so, same server launches queries, , built identically. such query takes 1 second fulfil, , there 10 queries each minute. however, encounter following issue: sometimes (i.e. 2% of queries), java client sends http query not answer, , falls in timeout. used wireshark examining tcp/ip exchanged http data, see each query entering server , being acknowledged not being answered. "missing answers" fall in timeout, see tcp/ip query in wireshark, see no trace of http query in iis log file. also, windev component runs on iis not execute, and, of course, nothing sent client. why see http tcp/ip entering serve

hello technet, i want users on company network able deactivate , reenable network interfaces attached computers. necessary , feel not necessary keep guys busy this. so first thought "group policy". i did quick internet research , found couple of articles pointing me group policy setting "ability enable/disable lan connection" being found under user config -> policies -> administrative templates -> network -> network connections. i thought i'm there, activated setting, booted test machine, made sure gpo applied, still unable deactivate nic interface. i did more research , found setting applies windows 2000 / xp / server 2003 not w7/8 etc. i tried gpo on xp machine , setting indeed works described on os. definitly works on xp/2003/2000 not on newer ms os. can please tell me how enable standard users on w7/8 able deactivate/activate network interfaces? thank reading , regards martin hello, add accounts network configuration o

hello - item posted in server\security section has not been commented on since last week i'm entering details here in hope may take look.....tia i'm attempting access share pc in untrusted forest.  client xp , server data stored 2008 sp1.  when attempt unc server connection made can view directories associated iis - can't example connect \\"ipaddress"\admin$ - error "the network path not found". however there happens windows 2000 server in same untrusted forest able connect without issue - i'm prompted network credentials , once entered correctly i'm able connect admin$ share , navigate through directory structure. so guess question how come can connect shares on 2k server (obviously security wasn't tight then) - , possible alter security settings on 2008 server allow connections share untrusted forest? thanks advice offered c. turned out perimeter firewall - ports have been opened , can access admin$ share thanks comments

hi there..   i running problem windows 2008 ctp june, running windows 2008 beta 3 without problems in machine.. until yesterday decided 'upgrade' windows 2008 ctp, process goes smoothly, , needed reinstall audio driver... rest works fine, except terminal services...   anyway, restarted machine without problem before solve terminal services issues (the remote app not working), decided remove terminal services , reinstall again, unable run remote app... anyway turn off machine after it... , today machine takes 1 hour in "applying group policy..." , after displays "please wait local session manager..."...   after 2 hours see machine still same message decided reboot it, , works fine (less 3 min. go logon screen) ....   but knows problem was, or saw similar behavior?... never run problem in windows 2008 beta 3... saw in windows 2008 ctp.....   miklos   p.s. fyi, problem of ts remote app addressing in post... this started happening me on (4)
